Wages for IT Pros Decline in Q3

The Yoh Index of Technology Wages dropped 6.21 percent from the same time last year.

"It appears that the demand for technology workers continues to ebb," says Bill Yoh, President and CEO of Yoh. "We believe we'll continue to see softening in certain sectors as the state of the economy leads companies to tighten budgets and delay projects."

There is a lot of competition in outsourcing software development, as there are many firms across the globe catering to clients looking for outsourcing their work. What is good is that the takers can choose the best from the lot.

This is also due to the drastic change in the world economy. Also US president has announced more tax to be added on outsourcing projects. This might also a reason for wages to decline for IT pros.
