IT Hiring Downturn Likely to Have Leveled Off

In an Oct. 30th ComputerWorld article "IT employment may be stabilizing after loss of 250,000 jobs", multiple sources pointed to what appears to be a leveling off in IT job losses, with hiring forecasts described as volatile, but potentially strong with "a lot of pent-up demand" being reported by TechServe Alliance member firms. According to Foote Partners Q3 report "IT Skills and Certifications Pay Index", folks in SAP and Security ought to be cheering as demand and pay for their skills continued to go up despite the general downtrend.
