PHILADELPHIA--April 13,2010--After a stagnant 2009, which saw wages paid to temporary technical professionals remain relatively flat, the Yoh Index of Technology Wages reported its first substantive increase since October 2009, suggesting the possibility that the long-awaited recovery in employment could be underway. According to Computerworld's 2010 Salary Survey, the top 5 industries for IT pay were defense/aerospace (overall compensation up 2.9%), biotechnology (up 2.2%), government (up 1.8%), education (up 1.4%) and health/medical services (up 1.4%).
