Growth of IT Salaries in Mid-Atlanic Second Highest in U.S.
Of the 7 regions outlined in the newest Dice Tech Salary Survey for 2007, the Mid-Atlantic experienced the second largest increase in average salaries with a 2.75% gain over 2006. In the same report, the Philadelphia metropolitan area reported a 2.28% increase in average tech salaries over 2006, putting it right up there behind Silicon Valley (+3.95%), Boston (+3.93%), Atlanta (+3.46%), Dallas/FtWorth (+2.55), and Baltimore/WashDC (+2.30%). The occupation that saw the greatest increase in salaries was the Systems Developer, chiming in with a 12.6% gain over 2006 to average $88,361/year.
